Northern Spain is a wonderful place to experience fantastic beaches and here we try to give you a guide to the best ones to visit when you are staying at Granero del burro.
Las Catedrales (Galicia)
This is the most famous beach in Galicia. It sits on the north coast of Galicia in between Ribadeo and Foz and is called Catedrales (Cathedral beach) because of the way the sea has eroded the rock creating huge cathedral like arches in the water. It is visited by many thousands of tourists every year and is well worth a visit. There is a nice bar/restaurant here but it is a little pricey.
A huge beach which is very popular in the Summer. Great for walks all year round. In Summer there is a surf school and bar. Click here for a map.
